Benelli

Changes to the website

From the beginning of this year the website is being managed by Mary Elder, who will be looking after the day to day running and technical aspects of the site. Thanks to Eric, for all the work he's done over the last serveral years!

You will see some changes over the next few months. The club is keen to build on what we have, and offer more through the website. We'd also like to know what you want from it, so if you have any comments, or ideas, please email webmaster@benelliclubgb.net.

One change that we will be making is to the Forum. Although it works very well, it does take quite a lot of work to maintain, and unfortunately, doesn't get a great deal of use. This can be a bit disappointing if you post up a message, but don't get any replies. As the club doesn't have a huge membership, this isn't likely to change, as you do need a lot of users to keep a forum going, and there are a number of other forums out there for Benelli enthusiasts. Multiple forums mean that users are split across them, and you can find that none of them get as much use as they might. The club wants to support and promote interest in the Benelli and Motobi names as much as it can, so rather than divert users from some of the larger forums, we're going to phase out the separate club forum, and encourage users to support the very active benelliforum.com. The club forum will remain for the time being, but in the next few weeks we'll be switching off the ability to add new messages, so it will remain as an archive.

We hope that people don't see this as a negative step. It should mean that we are able to concentrate more on other aspects of the website.
