During the summer of 1997 two Benelli enthusiasts Steve Peace and Mike Schofield decided to create a club dedicated to the needs of a growing band of Benelli Motobi MBA and Wards Riverside owners.
The clubs ideals were to provide the members with a high level of technical and parts support coupled with a friendly atmosphere of a dedicated club. Now several years on and we find ourselves with over 200 members, in 17 countries across the world, a dedicated seven strong committee, a team of technical advisers, a huge archives library, regalia sales dept, tool hire dept, large Benelli/Motobi 2C two stroke used parts dept, and new Benelli moped spares. The club has a dating service which is accepted by DVLA and this is free to members but a charge is made to others. Events are held throughout the year including a Benelli Festival held annually. The quarterly magazine il leone Ruggisce The Lion Roars, which contains up to date news, historical notes,road tests, and a comprehensive bikes and parts for sale section. On joining the club you will receive a handy parts finder listing all known sources of parts around the world, and we also manufacture parts i.e. Leoncino front mudguard Lion, and 750 Sei stainless exhaust brackets.The club caters for all enthusiasts from the early 1930s singles, 1950/60s Benelli /Motobi horizontal engines, 1970s Morbidelli racers through to the mighty 750/900 Sei, 1990s scooters and finally the 900 TRE Tornado/TNT.
